FIRST PLACE IN OUR FIRST GUARD COMPETITION OH YEAH EAT OUR SILKS YOU OTHER TEAMS!

I cannot believe it... our first competition of our school's winterguard EVER and we got first place out of 13 schools and got bumped up to double A!!!!!!! I'm so high on happiness now I'm about to... nevermind, I already skipped around the house whooping. :XD:

I can't believe it.... I still.... my first EVER competition!!!

Can't talk coherently now. I still remember walking out onto the tarp, in my uniform, looking at all the people that I couldn't see because I didn't have my glasses on, going through it, exuding all this energy and nearly bursting out of my heart with happiness the moment the announcer said our team got first...

:bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred:WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE:bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred:

I am so... EEEE!

Normally I'm a very calm and rational and sensical person, but when it comes down to it... my FIRST! This'll go down in my memory...

:bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen:

In other news, school is going fine. xD I'm an aide for my favorite teacher second period, so it's great. I've gotten to do a lot of weird stuff like unload boxes of "Dr. Strange's Eatable Science" and lots of green Play-do. One day I spent the entire period unlocking and locking drawers, and watered her snake, and undid a three-foot chain of paperclips. :D

Talk to me if you're in Guard, and if you're not, talk to me anyway. :XD:

I got a livejournal, to_defenestrate, but I probably won't use it a lot. Mostly there to comment on people's RvB fanfiction, which, by the way, I am eagerly waiting for episode 89 to come out... COME ON!

Edit

I'm sorry, I was so excited about our win that I forgot to mention how great the other teams were. ^^; Anyway, we got to watch the best of the best after our show, and believe me, it was worth it.

I would describe them all, but the ones that stuck out the most were these two- Once Bitten and the tribute to Katharine Hepburn. The first one just blew me away- it was based off of Anne Rice's 'Interview with a Vampire' and to the song 'Call me when you're sober'. It had the vampire woman and the human man, and her minions around, and he refused to become a vampire, and she warned him about her power. He said he loved her, and THAT'S when the music jammed in and the flags started going crazy and about thirty seconds later, standing on top of a twenty-foot scaffolding, the vampire in a dominatrix suit starting popped out of nowhere to dance to the song.

That part made the crowd explode. They cheered and went crazy. A couple of the girls on my team said they wanted that outfit, complete with the leather boots and the corset. There were black curtains hanging over the back of the tarp so you couldn't see behind it, and flags popped over the back of the curtains and the dancers caught it so easily. If you ever find this show, WATCH IT! It is well worth the five or so minutes.

The other one was the tribute to Katharine Hepburn, and the amazing part about it was the tarp. It had giant fold-up facts on it like her movies and quotes and pictures, and a lot of the song they danced to was her talking about her life, and it was pretty cool!

By the way, I hardly spoke about my awesome teammates. You guys are great. ^^ I'm not very active in the social ring of guard but still it's fun talking to you guys. Keep up the great work! You guys made my first season what it is- GREAT!

And on another note, a friend of mine that left dA for a while is back- say welcome back to ! Formerly BlondePenguin, she was the one I talked about back in my Anniversary Journal. ^^

So much to talk about, and so I shall!

SCHOOL: Is getting more interesting. Unfortunately, I may have to move from some of my favorite teachers due to schedule messups. GRR! This one teacher, Mrs. J, lets me ask all these weird questions and actually gives me answers, as opposed to other idiots that just go, "I don't know" all the time. I hope I still keep her!!

:bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen:

GUARD: Yes, I joined Winter Guard... to all my friends that know me well, you probably are rather shocked. I know I am.

But it's really fun, with lots of exercise and new stuff to learn and whatnot. The people, I swear, are not of this race, but are really fun to observe. Seriously. Try it sometime. And the instructors are great. ^^ I ask for a lot of help because I'm sorta -ish at it, but most everybody is friendly and helps me when I need it. :D

RED VS BLUE : The web series "Red vs Blue" is based off the video game Halo, and I have to say it is the funniest and craziest thing I've ever watched. It has great characters, freakish plotlines, and even a little bit of romance (very small though, because the show is more for the guy audience). Check it out at [link] for look up the episodes on google video. My favorite characters are definately Tex and Caboose, though Church is great too. (I even have the nickname Tex, though it's a weird story on how that came about...) I luff that show so muc'h.... however, it has a bit of swearing, but other than that, it rocks. WATCH IT NOW, FOOLS.

AUTRE MUSINGS: I am really getting interested in Romania and the Roma that live around the capital city of Bucharest. If you didn't know, the Roma are Gypsies that were persecuted in the Holocaust for their being 'inferior' in Hitler's eyes. They have social mores, some of which deal with purity (such as abstinence and such) and washing pants and tops separate because the bottom half of the body is unclean and such. I got interested when a few of my favorite comic book characters were said to have been Roma, and I had only vaguely heard of it, and so here I am.

:bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen::bulletgreen:

Along with Romania, I found the rest of the O-zone CD (the people that made the Numa Numa song, which is actually called Dragostea Din Tei, or 'Under the Lime Tree'). The rest of their CD is excellent. But it is impossible to find in America, so you might have to iTunes and Google it.

That's about it for now! ^^

BLACKOUT!

  • Reading: The Blue Girl

  • Playing: SSB

Our schools had a blackout! Around lunch (10:30 for me) the lights went out and you could only see in the windows and it was so fun! I was sitting with all my guy friends, and they were cracking jokes like, "Hey! You two! Stop making out under the table!" and stuff.

So 4th period, I had computer class. All the computers didn't work. So I just wrote a story and doodled the entire time. Kids were listening to their iPods and stuff.

5th period was Biology, and we got a worksheet, but no one was really paying attention. I talked to and two other friends (Molly and Marissa) the entire time... it was freaking fun! Then we had to leave school due to the fact that we couldn't do any work, so at 1:00, we left school.

And now I'm home! :XD: It was GREAT! And it's FRIDAY! I have an eight hour Guard practice tomorrow... 'twill be fun, I say.

Anniversary

Sat Oct 7, 2006, 2:57 AM
Wow. It's been only a few days past my first year at dA!

I mean, really. A lot's happened to me, so much that words really can't fill the gap, but I guess...

I've changed some fandoms, kept some fandoms, insanely improved my art, still kept my weird styles, and I've grown to accept new things. So in a way, dA has changed my life (*cue bursting into the Wicked song "Because I knew you, I have been changed for good"*).

I still really like Shadouge as my OTP :w00t: and have gained a few new fandoms (X-Men Evolution, FullMetal Alchemist, and many other animes) that have influenced my art and writing. Heh, and who says change is bad?

:bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred::bulletred:

Here is my first ever journal on dA-

Wow! This is new to me and all that, so I'm happy. I'm not great at art, though I try. Most my friends are better, though there is this one person that isn't but looks up to me and asks to help him and stuff. Isn't it nice having someone look up to you? Gives you a warm feeling, doesn't it? ^_^ That's all, bye!

Very lackluster and short... well, the person who looked up to me is at another school, and some of my friends that few have (as far as I know) stopped drawing. Kinda sad. :(

Wow... just... I'm still in a bit of shock.

I want to thank my first friend on dA, for all her support and comments. She's the one who probably kept me on this site when I felt like no one was reading/looking at my stuff.

And see now! Over 1,000 pageviews.

I guess that's all for now!
